The home where one of the greatest French artists, Claude Monet lived out his final days, the homestead of Giverny has kept its original look, the way he intended it. This is where Monet's greatest paintings came to life, including the famous series of almost 250 oil paintings "Water Lilies" (or "Nymphéas" in French). On each of these paintings he recreated the garden of Giverny, that to this day still looks like his masterpiece come to life. The house also kept the atmosphere Monet gave it. You can walk around its rooms filled with sunlight and discover Claude’s rare collection of original prints made by such Japanese masters as Hokusai and Hirosige.
